CRN to exhibit at conference for women bloggers

7/29/2016

WASHINGTON -- The Council for Responsible Nutrition will be an exhibiting sponsor at #BlogHer16: Experts Among Us, the largest conference ever for women bloggers.

In addition to exhibiting at the three-day event, which takes place Aug. 4–6 in Los Angeles, CRN will be hosting a special luncheon on Aug. 5 called “Get Healthy; Get Wise,” which will feature an interactive panel discussion on “the do’s, the news, and the clues” when it comes to understanding the role of vitamins and other dietary supplements in living healthier lives. The luncheon event will also feature a special presentation by Vitamin Angels Founder and President Howard Schiffer. Panelists include Wendy Bazilian, Dr.PH, RD, educator, author and journalist, and Felice Gersh, M.D., OB/GYN and integrative medicine specialist and international speaker on women’s health issues. The panel will be moderated by CRN’s Duffy MacKay, N.D., senior vice president of scientific and regulatory affairs.

“As the leading trade association for our industry, it is imperative that we stay current with communications trends and adapt best practices,” said Judy Blatman, senior vice president, communications, CRN. “The BlogHer conference has a stellar reputation, and the community is made up of the savviest online communicators. It was the ideal opportunity for us as we seek to increase awareness of the benefits of dietary supplements and generate new relationships within the blogging landscape.”

CRN is also bringing in a rotating lineup of reputable healthcare practitioners who will be serving as wellness ambassadors at the association’s exhibit booth, available to offer suggestions and answer questions about improving nutrition, filling nutrient gaps, and the role of vitamins and other dietary supplements in healthy living.

The BlogHer conference series started in 2005 as a community-building and education platform for the up-and-coming female blogger community, and has since grown to host 3,000+ attendees.
