WOONSOCKET, R.I. — CVS Health announced on Tuesday that Nancy Christal, SVP investor relations, will retire this summer. She will be replaced by VP investor relations Mike McGuire.
“I personally want to thank Nancy and congratulate Mike on his well-deserved promotion,” president and CEO Larry Merlo said during the company’s 2017 fiscal first-quarter earnings conference call.
Christal joined the company in 1995 as VP of investor relations. She has been responsible for enabling effective, two-way communication between the company and the financial community to ensure that CVS Health’s securities achieve a fair valuation.
In prior roles, Christal was VP investor relations for Ogden.
McGuire has served in CVS Health’s investor relations department since March 2002. In July 2006, he was promoted to senior director of investor relations and in June 2015 was named VP in June 2015.
“Mike is an outstanding candidate to replace Nancy upon her retirement,” said EVP and CFO Dave Denton.
