BRISTOL, R.I. - With courses scheduled for July and October, the Professional Education Center at the Roger Williams University School of Continuing Studies recently announced a curriculum in conjunction with CVS Health. The CVS Health Executive Learning Series for Diverse Suppliers is a new, customized professional development program designed to help diverse suppliers gain critical management skills.
The curriculum offers training opportunities for diverse suppliers to expand their capacity, skill level and growth potential in areas such as marketing, finance, leadership and human resources.
The Professional Education Center and CVS Health collaborated on the development of the curriculum with Women’s Business Enterprise National Council, National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, Florida State Minority Supplier Development Council, Greater New England Minority Supplier Development Council, U.S. Business Leadership Network and the U.S. Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce.
Fifteen diverse suppliers will be selected to participate in the program. To be eligible, suppliers must have been in business for at least three years and must have between $500,000 and $5 million in annual revenue over the last three years.
CVS Health envisions an environment of committed strategic minds, focused on achieving a vision of elevating supplier development to a higher level by providing an innovative learning program to the entire diverse supplier community.
The purpose of the training series is to educate and develop personal and professional relationships within the diverse supplier and partnership environments. Business owners and executives will be able to learn and educate themselves in the competencies that CVS Health values.
This training will give business executives the knowledge, skills and abilities to flourish within their industry. Roger Williams University is requesting submissions from diverse suppliers who are looking for an opportunity to showcase their company and who wish to develop a relationship with CVS Health.
Tuition for the program will be fully sponsored by CVS Health. The only costs incurred by supplier participants will be travel, lodging and food, as needed. Food is provided during the on-campus sessions.
The CVS Health Executive Learning Series will address the following topics:
Company Financing & Budget (54 total hours);
Leadership, Management & Technology (64 total hours); and
Human Resources & Communications (45 total hours).
