DENVER — CVS Health plans to open its first standalone CVS Pharmacy in Colorado in 2017, spokeswoman Stephanie Cunha confirmed to the Denver Post.
No other details were available, but the news outlet reported the location will be in Denver, likely on a 1.1-acre parcel. Woonsocket, R.I.-based CVS owns at West 38th Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard in Denver’s West Highland neighborhood.
CVS entered Colorado for the first time earlier this year via its acquisition of Target in-store pharmacies.
CVS rival Walgreens operated 159 Colorado locations as of August.
