DSN taps Berk for new editorial role

11/8/2016

Drug Store News has named Brian Berk managing editor-content. A new role at DSN, Berk will work directly with Editor in Chief/Associate Publisher Rob Eder to drive content development for the publication’s print and digital platform.

Berk joins DSN from ENSEMBLEIQ (formerly, Stagnito Media), where he served as Managing Editor for Convenience Store News and Convenience Store News for the Single Store Owner magazines. Berk has won a number of awards for his writing, including, most notably, the 2012 Jesse H. Neal Award for the special 35-page section, "Future of Fuels."

Prior to that Berk was the Editor in Chief of Music and Sound Retailer, which was owned by Testa Communications.

“Brian is a gifted storyteller and has considerable experience covering retail and we are excited to bring his talents to the DSN audience,” said Eder. “This is an important new role for us and Brian is going to enable us to continue to enhance and elevate the content we deliver both in the magazine and everyday online, and help us take DSN to an even higher level.”
