GSK Consumer Healthcare opens new NJ headquarters

WARREN, N.J. - GSK Consumer Healthcare on Thursday opened the doors to its new headquarters building housing all U.S.-based employees for the first time in a modern facility at 184 Liberty Corner Road, also known as Center 78, in Warren, N.J. The new facility is 109,000 square feet and will house nearly 900 employees.

 

"The opening of GSK Warren provides a tremendous opportunity for our U.S.-based team to come together under one roof to foster collaboration and build a great place to work," stated Colin Mackenzie, North America general manager and the site leader for GSK Warren. "That collaboration and the SMART working design promise to give our teams every advantage to produce best-in-class work that will get us closer to our consumers and retail customers."

 

In March 2015, GSK and Novartis closed on its joint venture and received the Certificate of Occupancy on the Warren facility on March 3, 2016 – almost one year to the day of the announcement. The interior design is modeled after GSK's global approach to SMART working, which provides an open floor plan as well as flexible workspace and hours to better accommodate the individual needs of employees while fostering collaboration. The new location will house a cross-functional mix of employees, including marketing and sales, research and development, quality and supply chain teams.

 

The GSK Warren facility will also feature three state-of-the-art lab suites comprised of a Shopper Science Lab, Consumer Sensory Lab and a R&D Lab. The Shopper Science Lab is designed to optimize collaboration between GSK, the retailer and the consumer. These facilities will open in late April.
