H&M to debut eco-friendly beauty line

2/3/2016

NEW YORK -- Discount fashion retailer H&M is expanding its line of beauty products to better appeal to today's eco-conscious shopper.

The fashion chain is launching a line of beauty products called Conscious in April.

"We already offer conscious choices with our fashion collections so it is natural for us to have the same offering within our beauty collection," said H&M Beauty concept designer, Sara Wallander. "We always aim to develop our products to high and responsible standards in both materials and production. With the conscious range we have taken this philosophy even further. We are very proud to now be able to offer organic beauty to our customers."

The line is designed to complement the retailer's Conscious fashion collection (described by H&M as "good for people, the planet and your wallet"). The new beauty line will incorporate skin care, hair care and body care, all with organic certification.
