iGPS names new CEO

9/26/2011

ORLANDO, Fla. — Intelligent Global Pooling Systems has appointed a new CEO, iGPS said.

Richard “Dick” DiStasio brings more than 30 years of executive-level experience at leading manufacturing, distribution and service companies, with both domestic and international scope, iGPS said. Prior to joining the company — an operator of the world’s first pallet rental service providing shippers and receivers with lightweight, 100% recyclable all-plastic pallets with embedded RFID tags — DiStasio served operating advisor to Arbor Investments, a Chicago-based private equity firm.

“I am thrilled to be joining iGPS, a company that is leading an exciting paradigm shift in the world’s supply chain,” DiStasio said. “iGPS’ innovative pallet and its associated tracking and tracing capabilities are truly revolutionizing how products are being shipped in North America. The marketplace’s enthusiastic response to iGPS — and its world-class customers — is a tremendous base from which to accelerate the company’s growth.”
