Kimberly-Clark names North American consumer president

DALLAS — Kimberly-Clark on Friday announced the appointment of Larry Allgaier as group president of Kimberly-Clark North America. He will be reporting directly to president and COO Mike Hsu, overseeing the company’s $8 billion consumer business in North America, which includes such brands as Huggies, Cottenelle and Depend.


"Larry is an outstanding leader with a passion for the consumer products industry. As the leader of our North American consumer business, he will drive strong performance and long-term shareholder value, as we lead the world in essentials for a better life," Hsu said. "Larry's strong track record for delivering sustainable, profitable growth and championing innovation will enable him to effectively lead the largest business unit in Kimberly-Clark's portfolio."


Allgaier was most recently president global veterinary services for the newly formed Mars Petcare Veterinary Health Group. Prior to that, he was president of Mars’ $4 billion North America petcare visit. Before joining Mars, he was global head of Novartis’ OTC medicines unit, overseeing 200 brands in more than 50 countries.


Allgaier got consumer career started at Procter & Gamble, where he spent 20 years in various leadership roles.
