Kmart Pharmacy launches savings program

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. — Kmart on Wednesday announced the launch of its new Pharmacy Savings Plus program, an initiative aimed at saving underinsured or uninsured patients money on their prescriptions and other pharmacy services. 


 


“We are pleased to introduce the new Pharmacy Savings Plus program as another example of how Kmart Pharmacy is focused on the overall health and well-being of our Kmart shoppers,” Kmart Pharmacy president Phil Keough said. “We are committed to offering discounted prescriptions and other health-related benefits to make it more cost-effective to be healthy.”


 


Customers can enroll by visiting a Kmart pharmacy and choosing either the individual membership for $10 per year or the $15-per-year household membership. 


 


The membership includes free flavoring for liquid medication, 25% off immunizations, 10% off pet medications and quarterly healthy savings offers. It’s main offer is $3 for a 30-day supply of the ten most commonly prescribed drugs:



  • Amlodipine Besylate 2.5mg, 5mg or 10mg (30 ct.)


  • Amoxicillin 125mg/5ml (150ml), 200mg/5ml (100ml) or 250mg/5ml Suspension (150ml)


  • Fluoxetine HCL 10mg, 20mg or 40mg (30 ct.)


  • Fluticasone Propionate 50mcg Spray (one bottle)


  • Ibuprofen 400mg, 600mg or 800mg (60 ct.)


  • Hydrochlorothiazide 25mg (30 ct.)


  • Lisinopril 2.5mg, 5mg, 10mg or 20mg (30 ct.)


  • Meloxicam 7.5mg or 15mg (30 ct.)


  • Metformin HCL 500mg, 850mg or 1000mg (60 ct.)


  • Simvastatin 10mg, 20mg or 40mg (30 ct.)
