Kroger's California chains donate $350,000 to wildfire efforts

CINCINNATI Kroger chains Ralphs and Food 4 Less have donated $350,000 in products and donations to help victims of the California wildfires.

Among the deliveries include truckloads of food, infant formula, milk, fruit, diapers, and toothbrushes and toothpaste to Qualcomm Stadium evacuation center in San Diego, as well as water, cereal, health care products and paper goods for evacuees at Del Mar Fairgrounds. Water and paper goods were also delivered to to fire victims at Orange Show Fairgrounds, in San Bernardino, and produce, milk, water and sandwiches to other evacuation centers.

“Thousands of our customers, associates and their families have been affected by the wildfires,” said Mike Donnelly, president of Ralphs Supermarkets, in a press release. “Ralphs and Food 4 Less are committed to supporting the communities we serve and we are proud to be able to assist in the wildfire relief efforts.”
