Life imitates art with new 'Breakfast at Tiffany's' costume

7/8/2010

This Halloween, getting rid of the "mean reds" will be as easy as dressing up as "Breakfast at Tiffany's" heroine, Holly Golightly.

The beloved film is being immortalized with the help of Paramount Licensing and California Costumes. The "Breakfast at Tiffany's" costume includes a floor-length black gown with a cut-out back, a stunning multistrand pearl necklace and a tiara.

First released in 1961, "Breakfast at Tiffany's" tells the tale of Holly Golightly (Audrey Hepburn), a quirky, young New York socialite who becomes interested in a young man (George Peppard) who moves into her brownstone on Manhattan’s swank East Side. The love story became an instant pop-culture and film classic, and won two Academy Awards.

The costume retails for $45 and will be available in stores and online beginning this summer.
