Lilywrap creator wins award for women entrepreneurs
ATLANTA — A new product for gift wrapping is designed to save both time and trees.
Atlanta entrepreneur Ashley Edmonds has created Lilywrap, a reusable wrapping that mimics the look and feel of traditional wrapping paper, including the bow, using patent-pending stretching fabric wrap.
Shapewear maker Spanx and founder Sara Blakely announced Wednesday that Edmonds had won the Leg Up award for her product. As part of the award, Lilywrap will be featured in the Spanks catalog, which circulates to more than 1 million fans. Blakely started the Leg Up Program in 2010 as a way to recognize up-and-coming women entrepreneurs and their companies.
