Mars helps cat lovers avoid holiday 'cat-astrophes'

FRANKLIN, Tenn. – Mars pet brand Temptations  is launching a fun campaign to urge cat owners to tame their feline's holiday spirit with a little help from the brand’s cat treats.

Temptations has released a new campaign appropriately titled, "Keep Them Busy," reminding cat-owners to keep their felines occupied and treat them this holiday.  Created by Adam & Eve/DDB London and directed by Sam Brown of Rogue Films, the new holiday campaign centers around a humorous video featuring mischievous cats anxiously waiting to wreak havoc on a beautifully-decorated holiday wonderland. Once given the green light, the cats are released into the room – and the chaos begins. The cats bobble with the ornaments, claw on holiday sweaters, chew on wrapped gifts --that is until they hear the shake of the Temptations treat bag, which stops them in their tracks and they clear the room.

"The internet is full of cats being cute and fluffy," said Denise Truelove, marketing director, cat treats, Mars Petcare US.  "The reality is cats are incredibly mischievous. That tension led to an entertaining and relatable Temptations holiday video and campaign."

The campaign will include digital media on TV, national print, social media posts, as well as YouTube and partnerships on platforms such as Buzzfeed, Snapchat and Amazon.
