8/4/2008

AVONDALE, Ariz. MediMin has announced the completion of a long-term contract with Bashas’ to open retail health-care clinics inside grocery stores. Bashas’ is the second largest grocery chain in Arizona, with more than 160 stores.

MediMin will develop clinics at Bashas’, Food City, and Ike’s Marketplace stores. The clinic operator has clinics in Phoenix, Peoria, Scottsdale and Oro Valley, with plans to open four to six more within the next 12 months.

“This is an exciting opportunity to advance the evolving retail healthcare market,” MediMin President Rob Tofil said. “By partnering with Bashas’ and local hospitals, we can more effectively provide health care to not only the uninsured, but also provide a convenient access point for the thousands of people trying to get medical care. This is a great way to better serve our community.”
