AMARILLO, Texas — Merrick Pet Care announced today a new line of cat food and a new marketing campaign behind a fictional, "acclaimed" food critic, W. "Mittens" Bloomfield.
Merrick's new Purrfect Bistro line of dry and canned cat foods comes in 21 recipes, including chicken, salmon, tuna, duck turkey and beef, with a minimum of 70% protein and fat ingredients in every dry food bag. The Purrfect Bistro lineup features real, deboned meat as the No. 1 ingredient and features paté, shredded and sliced varieties.
Five grain-free dry recipes are available in 4-lbs. and 12-lbs. bags at the suggested retail prices of $15.99 and $32.99, respectively. Sixteen canned grain-free recipes are available in 3-oz. and 5.5-oz. cans at the suggested retail prices of $1.29 and $1.69, respectively. Merrick Purrfect Bistro is available at independent pet specialty stores, nationally at Petco and at select online retailers.
