MinuteClinic passes milestone, opens 200th clinic location

MINNEAPOLIS —MinuteClinic, a subsidiary of CVS, has hit the 200-clinic milestone with the recent opening of the new Hartford, Conn., MinuteClinic location.

By the end of 2007, MinuteClinic expects to have more than 400 locations and, based on consumer demand, to have in the longer-term in-store health clinics in more than 2,500 CVS pharmacy locations.

On the heels of its 200th store announcement, MinuteClinic opened 10 more in-store retail health clinics in the state of Tennessee— five each in the Chattanooga and Knoxville metro-areas—and 14 more in the Atlanta area.

With the new openings, MinuteClinic now operates 17 in-store retail health clinics in the state of Tennessee—prior to the announcement, it already had seven clinics in the Nashville area—and 30 in and around metro Atlanta.
