NACDS recognizes chain member companies for advocacy, political engagement

LAS VEGAS — The National Association of Chain Drug Stores announced the recipients of the 2013 NACDS RxIMPACT Leader of the Year and the 2013 Politically Engaged Pharmacy Awards last night at the NACDS Political Involvement Reception at the NACDS Total Store Expo in Las Vegas.


Rite Aid Corporation received the 2013 NACDS RxIMPACT Leader of the Year for its efforts in several programs of the NACDS RxIMPACT brand, and specifically for the company's commitment in engaging its team in the annual NACDS RxIMPACT Day on Capitol Hill event.


Walgreen Co. received the 2013 Politically Engaged Pharmacy Award for demonstrating the exceptional commitment to advancing pharmacy through the NACDS Political Action Committee and distinguishing itself as a leader in political involvement.
