NCPA marks July as 'Celebrate Independents Month'
ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The National Community Pharmacists Association is celebrating July as the month of the independent pharmacy industry.
Through its new "Celebrate Independents Month" campaign, NCPA is encouraging its members to access free collateral to help highlight their independent status and to thank their patients and community for supporting local, small businesses.
"Independent community pharmacies are proud members of the communities we serve and we contribute to the community's sustainability and character," NCPA president and Oklahoma City pharmacy owner Lonny Wilson said. "This month, we want to encourage people to shop locally and to recognize the support patients give us year long. Independent community pharmacies pride themselves on providing expert medication counseling, competitive pricing and convenient service. Our members want to thank their patients for their support and encourage others to visit to see what it means to 'Celebrate Independents.'"
