Ocean Spray expands to new category

LAKEVILLE-MIDDLEBORO, Mass. — Ocean Spray is known for its line of juices, but the brand will make a leap to the water aisle with the introduction of PACt cranberry extract water. The new beverage will take advantage of proanthocyanidins — elements found within cranberries — to help purify the body, according to the brand. 

 

“Although the marketplace is filled with beverage options that try to meet the needs of consumers struggling to get enough water into their daily routine, let’s face it, there isn’t one currently that does that in a meaningful way with truly functional benefits,” said Ken Romanzi, COO of global brands at Ocean Spray. “With the Launch of PACt cranberry extract water, we’ve created an even better water that harnesses the unique power of the cranberry through a breakthrough cranberry extract innovation, 10 years in the making. PACt water contains the cleansing and purifying benefits of the cranberry without all the sugar and calories.”

 

PACt water can be found at major retailers in California and Nevada, as well as online. The beverage can be purchased nationwide beginning in 2015. Consumers can choose from four varieties: Cranberry Pomegranate, Cranberry Raspberry, Cranberry Blood Orange and Cranberry Mango-Passion Fruit.
