Political pundit Karl Rove to speak at CRN conference

WASHINGTON — The Council for Responsible Nutrition earlier this week announced that political pundit and former White House senior adviser Karl Rove will be a featured speaker at The Conference, CRN’s annual symposium for the dietary supplement industry.

Speaking on the final day of The Conference, Rove will provide his thoughts on the current political climate and share his insight into the inner workings of Congress, the White House and the political process. He also will share some personal recollections from his nearly eight years as a close adviser to President George W. Bush and from his extensive career in American politics.

“Karl Rove is one of the premiere political strategists of the last half-century," stated John Venardos, chair of The Conference and SVP worldwide regulatory, government and industry affairs for Herbalife. "[Rove] has had a front-row seat to many important moments in American history and was actively involved in several of the most hotly contested political campaigns of the last 30 years. His time spent in the White House as deputy chief of staff and senior adviser to President Bush makes him a living witness to history, and his speech will surely be one of the highlights of The Conference.”

The Conference takes place Oct. 19 to 22 at the Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.
