Publix to offer discount for military personnel and families on Veteran’s Day

LAKELAND, Fla. — Publix will be honoring the men and women of the armed forces, and their loved ones by offering a 10% discount on Veteran’s Day, Nov. 11.

“Publix is proud to honor the men and women who serve and protect our country and our freedom, " Maria Brous, director of media and community relations, said. “We support the military and their families through many programs throughout our operating areas. Publix’s Veteran’s Day discount is an extension of our military support. It’s one way we continue to serve our communities.”

In order to qualify for the discount, a form of military identification will need to be presented. A military identification card, Veteran identification card, driver’s license with Veteran designation or a copy of DD-214 with a driver’s license will be accepted in all locations.

The discount will only apply to purchases made on Nov. 11, and excludes all alcohol, gift cards, lottery items, money services, postage stamps, prescriptions, tobacco, Publix Curbside service and Publix Delivery Powered by Instacart.
