Publix sponsors Tennessee youth soccer association

LAKELAND, Fla. Publix Super Markets has signed with the Tennessee State Soccer Association, making it the fifth youth soccer partnership to date for the grocer. In addition to the TSSA, Publix is the official supermarket of Youth Soccer Associations in Alabama, Florida, Georgia and South Carolina.

“With childhood obesity on the rise, it’s even more important today that we encourage exercising and eating right with parents and kids,” stated Maria Brous, Publix director of media and community relations. “We’re excited to work with TSSA because youth soccer keeps kids active and gives them skills they can use throughout their lives.”

As with the other associations, the Publix partnership with the TSSA will include sponsorship of soccer events and community awards.
