PARSIPPANY, N.J. — Reckitt Benckiser on Thursday named Alexander Lacik, 48, to the position of president, Reckitt Benckiser North America, effective June 2013. Lacik reports directly to Rob de Groot, EVP Europe and North America, and will be a part of the ENA leadership team.

In his new role, Lacik will be responsible for increasing RB's North American market share, creating new innovations in the health, home and hygiene space, and developing Reckitt's "Powerbrands."

Lacik is succeeding Frederic Larmuseau, who is taking a new role as EVP for Russia, Middle East and Africa. Lacik previously held the position of global category officer of home care and germ protection for Reckitt. He began his career at Reckitt in 2004 at the company's Greece headquarters as general manager and was promoted to chief strategy and marketing officer for Reckitt Benckiser North America three years later.

During his tenure in the U.S., Lacik was instrumental in the acquisition and successful integration of Adams Respiratory Therapeutics, the company noted. Lacik also spearheaded Reckitt's digital capabilities by using online video as a mass communication vehicle.

"The CPG marketplace is rapidly transforming and [Reckitt Benckiser] is shifting the way it does business to meet new consumer needs," stated Lacik. "I am inspired by RB's ongoing commitment to remain an aggressive innovative frontrunner against its competitors in the North American region."
