TOMS RIVER, N.J. — RediClinic and New Jersey’s Hackensack Meridian Health celebrated the opening of six new convenient care clinics at Rite Aid pharmacies with a ribbon-cutting event here Monday.
“Very simply, RediClinic’s mission is to provide consumers with high quality, affordable access to health care,” said Web Golinkin, CEO of RediClinic, during the event. We’ve been operating these clinics for over a decade now. We are very excited to bring our unique model of affordable and accessible healthcare to the residents of Toms River and the surrounding areas. … We are honored to be partnering with Hackensack Meridian Health, which has the largest, integrated care network in New Jersey and a truly national reputation for high quality, cost-effective care.”
RediClinics are open seven days a week, with extended weekday hours to meet the needs of busy families. To be make the process simpler and reduce wait times, patients can schedule appointments online, but walk-ins are still welcomed. Hackensack Meridian board-certified clinicians are on hand to treat patients. They are supported by medical attendants and Hackensack Meridian physicians.
According to RediClinic Chief Operating Officer Danielle Barrera, RediClinic treats more than 30 common conditions, including upper respiratory infections, flu, strep throat and ear infections. A full complement of preventative care is also available, such as physicals, immunizations and routine lab work.
“Our goal is to get you in and out quickly,” she said. “And if we write you a prescription, you can have it filled just steps away at the pharmacy, right here at Rite Aid, although that’s not required.”
RediClinic accepts most major insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. Typically, it’s considered a primary care physician co-pay or less.
RediClinic, operating since 2005, now has a total of 99 locations, with a 100th soon to open, Golinkin told Drug Store News. To determine where to open new RediClinics, the company has a selection process, which includes determining where the greatest community need is.
Patient feedback has been excellent, Golinkin continued. Patients are asked to complete a survey via kiosk following their visit. The average score across all RediClinics is about 90 out of 100. “That’s extremely high for anybody in the health care business, or frankly, any other business,” Golinkin told DSN. “That’s really what has driven RediClinic’s success. We grow our business one patient at a time.”
Regarding what patients like so much about RediClinic, Golinkin stated convenience, affordability and quality of care rises to the top of the list. Thus far at the Toms River location, wait times have rarely been a problem, he said. But if there is a wait, consumers can either walk around the store or travel off site and receive a text message to alert them when RediClinic is ready to see them.
