SUPPLIER NEWS — Yoplait has introduced Yoplait Smoothies, which feature frozen fruit, fruit juice and real Yoplait Greek yogurt. The smoothies can be made by adding skim milk and blending, and each 4.5-oz. freezer package yields a single 12-oz. serving. “Each smoothie provides 10 grams of protein when prepared with milk and are sweetened with all-natural stevia,” Yoplait Smoothie marketing manager Maija Aittola said. Available in mixed berry and strawberry banana orange flavors, Yoplait Smoothies carry a suggested retail price of $2.99. Yoplait also has introduced a 100-calorie strained Greek yogurt. Yoplait Greek 100 is fat-free and contains twice the amount of protein in regular yogurt. Packed in 5.3-oz. cups, the yogurt is available in strawberry, black cherry, mixed berry, vanilla, peach and key lime for a SRP of $1.29.



Nature’s Own has introduced Oatmeal Toasters, which are made with whole grains and real oats and studded with sweet fruit. Each square offers 4g of fiber and 20g of whole grain and is available in cinnamon raisin and cranberry orange flavors. “Oatmeal Toasters are perfect for an on-the-go breakfast or snack,” said Keith Aldredge, VP of marketing/breads and rolls for Flowers Foods. 



Arizona Beverages and Jack Nicklaus have added to the popular Jack Nicklaus Golden Bear line. Jack Nicklaus Golden Bear Ten original lemonade contains 5% juice and honey, with 10 calories per serving. A 23 oz. can of Golden Bear Ten original lemonade is pre-priced at 99 cents.
