Retailers step up to offer relief funds to tornado, flood victims

NEW YORK — In the wake of the tornadoes and flooding that struck many southeastern states, several leading chains have stepped up to offer support for communities impacted by the tragedy, including CVS, Rite Aid, Walmart, Target, Kroger and Publix.


Most retailers said they were contributing both cash and supplies to aid those affected by the disasters.
