Rite Aid appoints Kevin Lofton to board of directors
CAMP HILL, Pa. — Rite Aid has elected the president and CEO of Catholic Health Initiatives to its board of directors, the retail pharmacy chain said Tuesday.
Rite Aid announced the appointment of Kevin Lofton, who has worked with the Englewood, Colo.-based operator of hospitals and long-term care centers since 1998 and was appointed as its president and CEO in 2003.
"Kevin is a widely recognized and well-respected leader in the healthcare industry whose broad knowledge and experience will be beneficial in helping Rite Aid continue to grow our business and develop innovative ways to better serve our customers in a rapidly changing healthcare environment," Rite Aid chairman, president and CEO John Standley said.
Lofton also served as the American Hospital Association's chairman in 2007 and is on the boards of the Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Conifer Health Solutions and drug maker Gilead Sciences.
