Rite Aid completes co-branded store conversion for four S.C. locations

CAMP HILL, Pa. The conversion of four Rite Aid locations into co-branded Save-A-Lot/Rite Aid stores is complete, the drug store chain said Thursday.

As previously reported by Drug Store News, Rite Aid said it would convert some of its stores in South Carolina to also include a Save-A-Lot limited-assortment grocery store. The four locations, which include two stores in Simpsonville, one in Greer and one in Travelers Rest, S.C., were part of the 10-store test Rite Aid announced in late September.

“Our new co-branded concept has been very well-received in the Greenville area, and we are pleased to bring the value and convenience of this new store to more locations,” said Ken Martindale, Rite Aid COO. “Customers comment how great it is to be able to get high-quality grocery products at great prices at the same time they shop for Rite Aid health and beauty aids and visit their neighborhood Rite Aid pharmacist.”
