SEATTLE -- A taste of Italy is coming soon to beverage shelves across North America.
Jones Beverages International, a subsidiary of Jones Soda Co., is launching a new premium non-carbonated blended beverage brand called Lemoncocco. The company says Lemoncocco represents an entirely new beverage category that was inspired by the refreshment stands found along the streets of Rome.
The beverage is flavored with the extracts of Sicilian lemons and a splash of coconut cream, lightly sweetened with a touch of cane sugar, and has 90 calories per 12 ounce serving.
"We are very excited to bring this classic Italian refresher to North America,” said Jones Soda CEO Jennifer Cue. “When I tasted the beverage for myself and saw the enthusiasm for this drink in Rome, I realized the potential of this unique beverage back home. Our version of Lemoncocco is less sweet than that found in Rome and to me is more on trend with evolving tastes of the North American palate.
