RxAlly tapped to serve as preferred network for Smart Insurance Company Holdings

8/9/2012

LEESBURG, Va. — RxAlly announced that its member pharmacies have been invited to serve as the preferred network for a provider of innovative healthcare solutions to the senior market.

The alliance said that in October, it will help introduce Smart Insurance Company Holdings' new Medicare Part D prescription drug plan, SmartD Rx, pending final approval from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. The RxAlly member pharmacies who participate will serve as dedicated wellness partners, playing a key role in the delivery of quality health care to seniors and Medicare beneficiaries, RxAlly said.

"The network will be designed to meet the ever-changing needs of the current Medicare population, in addition to the 10,000 people who are turning 65 every day, across the U.S.," RxAlly CEO Bruce Roberts said. "Our member pharmacies are ideally suited to become the trusted healthcare partners and destinations that seniors and Medicare beneficiaries deserve."

Smart Insurance Company Holdings CEO Pritpal Virdee added, "By teaming with RxAlly and inviting its expansive network of trusted neighborhood pharmacies across the country to form our preferred network, Smart Insurance Company Holdings will be uniquely positioned to play a significant role in shaping prescription solutions for seniors."
