BENTONVILLE, Ark. — As part of an effort to celebrate women and encourage them to become more active in monitoring and maintaining their health, Sam’s Club Pharmacies announced Thursday it will host free women’s health screenings to both members and non-members on Oct. 11 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The health screenings are free, confidential and available to the public at all Sam’s Club locations with a pharmacy. The screenings, valued at $250, include tests for:
TSH (thyroid) testing – thyroid conditions can often affect a woman’s overall health, including depression, weight and energy levels;
Blood pressure;
Total cholesterol;
HDL (good cholesterol);
Risk ratio;
Glucose;
Body mass index; and
Vision.
“With the multitude of health challenges that are unique to women, it’s important that we keep up with our health on a regular basis no matter how busy life may get,” stated Tara Raddohl, director, corporate communications for Sam's Club. “These free health screenings make it easy for women to take a weekend errand and turn it into an important step in caring for their well-being.”
