Sears offers 'eCoupons' for BTS

7/22/2013

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. — Sears is offering electronic coupons for back-to-school shopping that it's calling the first of their kind.

The retailer announced Monday that it was the first retailer to offer "eCoupons" that can be redeemed in the store, online and from a mobile device, personalized for members of the Shop Your Way loyalty program based on their interests, style preferences and shopping habits. Members can download the coupons at ShopYourWay.com or through the mobile app and receive rewards like 2% back in points when using their Sears MasterCard.

"No matter how or where our Shop Your Way members choose to shop with us during back-to-school season, Sears has a way to do so conveniently, save time and money and earn rewards," EVP and chief merchandising officer for the Sears and Kmart formats Ron Boire said. "We are creating experiences that make our Shop Your Way members come back for more — that's why we expanded our apparel brands and in-store technology to appeal to the individual fashion and shopping styles of our members and customers."

Services include buying online and picking them up in the store, including having items delivered to their cars by texting their parking spot number to Sears; having items picked up by a different person; mobile checkout; and shipping to customers who can't find desired items in the store.
