Shopko updates the look of some of its stores

10/25/2007

GREEN BAY Some Shopko stores are experiencing a makeover. The company is updating its stores by giving them a new more feminine look to please their customers, which the company describes as an at home mother with her children.

The most recently remodeled Shopko stores are located in Great Falls, Mont., Twin Falls, Idaho, Rapid City, S.D. and Logan, Utah. “The palette will be warm, but updated with more modern colors and design details,” said Jane VanAuken, Shopko vice president of store planning. “We are also completely rearranging our merchandise for better flow and ease of shopping.”

Shopko customers’ attention will be drawn to new key fixtures in jewelry, accessories, apparel and home. The pharmacy and optical areas will be updated with new fixtures, furniture and optical rod walls. Customers will be better able to see Shopko’s merchandise with upgraded lighting throughout the stores and new signing will clearly direct shoppers to their individual areas of interest. The improvements will carry through all the way to updated fitting rooms and customer washrooms.
