Specialty pharmacy network ExceleraRx names president and CEO

MINNEAPOLIS — ExceleraRx, a national specialty pharmacy network, last week named James Fox as its president and CEO, effective Sept. 1.

 

“Jim Fox is absolutely the right choice to serve as president and CEO of this innovative organization that’s leading the way in specialty pharmacy services,” stated Nick Barto, SVP Catholic Health Initiatives based in Englewood, Colo., who led the ExceleraRx board search committee. “Under Jim’s leadership, Excelera will effectively support its members in developing and operating specialty pharmacies that improve patient care and reduce the total cost of care.”

 

Fox, with more than 35 years of executive leadership experience in health care, has served as CFO for Fairview Health Services in Minneapolis, where he played a role in the start-up and operations of Fairview Pharmacy Services. Most recently, he has been partnered with national organizations, including Excelera, to develop innovative healthcare services.
