Stop & Shop helps customers prep for flu season

8/27/2012

QUINCY, Mass. — Stop & Shop once again is offering flu vaccinations at all of its in-store pharmacies.

Flu shots are provided any time the pharmacy is open and are administered by Stop & Shop's in-store pharmacists. The cost for the flu shot is $30 and most major insurance plans along with Medicare are accepted. Stop & Shop noted that its pharmacists also are available to provide on-site flu clinics at workplaces.

As part of its flu shot offering, Stop & Shop also has partnered with various health-related vendors to offer a free coupon book worth more than $30 in savings, while supplies last, to customers who receive a flu shot.

"Stop & Shop is committed to providing health-and-wellness solutions across our store — from the produce department to the pharmacy," said Joel Berman, director of pharmacy at Stop & Shop's New England division. "Because of increased costs, many customers are looking for affordable solutions to keep themselves and their families healthy. We're glad to do our part by offering convenient and affordable immunizations each year."
