Tesco to add 10 Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Markets to Las Vegas market

LAS VEGAS Tesco last week announced announced the locations of an additional 10 Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Markets in the Las Vegas area, all former Rite Aid drug stores, where the company currently operates 11 stores.

The prescription files for those Rite Aid locations had been transferred to Walgreens in a January transaction.

“With every week, we continue to secure additional sites and build more stores," stated Tim Mason, Fresh & Easy chief executive officer. “Fresh & Easy sales are ahead of budget and we continue to trend upwards in every market."

Fresh & Easy operates more than 60 markets throughout Southern California and in Arizona and Nevada.  The company plans to begin opening stores in Northern California next year. Tesco is investing $2 billion in Fresh & Easy over five years.
