Tri State Distribution launches ePillboard

1/13/2016

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Prescription packaging, container and marketing technology company Tri State Distribution is bringing its Pillboard offerings into the digital age, announcing the launch of its ePillboard system on Tuesday.

The system is aimed at allowing pharmacies to advertise to, market to and share information with customers similar to the caps on the company’s ProTect line of vials and third panel of its TriMaxx series.

“We are constantly innovating and pushing the boundaries to design new products that help pharmacies—both large and small—provide better care for their patients, differentiate from and limit customer ‘churn’ to competitors, enhance and reinforce brand quality, and increase customer loyalty,” Tri State Distribution president Joe Miceli said. “At the end of the day, ePillboard is the kind of investment in quality that makes a pharmacy’s businesses stronger.”

The ePillboard system uses three digital monitors meant to be placed in three locations across the pharmacy — two in the waiting room and storefront, and one in the drive-thru window. The screens show graphics about drug safety and show advertising from the pharmacy or its partners. The displays are customized for the pharmacy, with content being created and managed by the company’s design department.

“In-store marketing through customized, full color digital screens is an entirely new concept for the pharmacy space,” Dave Miceli, VP of Tri State Distribution, said. “This is a simple yet smart marketing strategy that is effective in other areas of the healthcare world, such as physician offices. ePillboard is not just about giving pharmacies an opportunity to display their own custom content, but it provides them with the opportunity to establish added-value advertising and referral-marketing partnerships with local medical practices, businesses and community organizations.”
