Walgreens will keep pharmacy open through the holidays

DEERFIELD, Ill. — Walgreens on Friday announced that its stores will be open Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Through Dec. 23, most Walgreens locations will be open until midnight, the company stated. On Christmas Eve, nearly all stores will be open regular hours — pharmacies will be open from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. — and on Christmas Day, non-24 hour stores will be open from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. while all 24-hour stores and pharmacies will continue to remain open around the clock.

The pharmacy retailer also announced a number of last-minute deals for shoppers. For example, shoppers can take 25% off all $19.99 toys Dec. 18 through Dec. 24. The three-piece designer fragrance gift sets by Halle Berry, Beyoncé, Heidi Klum and Jennifer Lopez will sell for between $14.99 and $19.99. And gift sets from Nivea, Olay, Dove, Aveeno, Axe, Gillette and Old Spice will retail for $9.99.
