Walmart offers big savings with BTS "Cyber Monday'

SAN BRUNO, Calif. — Walmart.com announced its first-ever "Back to Class Cyber Monday" event, giving parents and students the opportunity to save up to 60% on nearly 300 of the most popular back-to-school items.


Each saving will be available on Walmart.com this Monday, August 12, while supplies last. Customers can gain early access to the event this Sunday, August 11, by visiting Walmart's Facebook page. Top-selling tablets and laptops, uniforms and apparel, school supplies, home items and more will be offered, just as students prepare to head back to class.


According to a National Retail Federation survey, families plan to spend less on back-to-school shopping this year. "Back to Class Cyber Monday" on Walmart.com will make it easier to find all of the essentials needed for a successful start to the new school year without breaking the budget. Some of the most popular items include polo shirts, graphic tees, jeans and jeggings, backpacks, crayons, glue, A Xelio 7" Android tablet, an Apple iPod Touch 4th Generation, textbooks and more.

Customers can visit Walmart.com this Monday to take advantage of "Back to Class Cyber Monday" deals while supplies last. Customers can gain early access to the event this Sunday by visiting Walmart's Facebook page and clicking on a special link to the event. To become a fan of Walmart on Facebook, go to facebook.com/Walmart and click the "Like" button. Students can save even more with free shipping to home on orders over $45, or pick up their order for free at a Walmart store near campus with the Site-to-Store program.
