Walt Disney Studios announces Blu-ray, DVD releases

NEW YORK — Walt Disney Studios is slated to release three films on Blu-ray and the latest seasons of "Grey's Anatomy" and "Private Practice" on DVD.


"The Tempest," "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" and the "Count of Monte Cristo" each will be released as a single-disc Blu-ray. "The Tempest" will carry a suggested retail price of $39.99, while "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" and the "Count of Monte Cristo" will carry a suggested retail price of $26.50.


Meanwhile, the seventh season of "Grey's Anatomy" and fourth season of "Private Practice" will be released as a 5-disc DVD set and 3-disc DVD set, respectively. The "Grey's Anatomy" set, which carries a suggested retail price of $45.99, includes all 22 episodes in the medical drama's seventh season, which features an exclusive extended version of the one-of-a-kind "Music Event" episode, plus "The Making of the Music Event" created especially for the DVD. The fourth season of "Private Practice," which carries a suggested retail price of $29.99, includes the critically acclaimed episode, "Whatever Happened to Charlotte King?," as well as never-before-seen bonus features.


The Blu-ray films and DVD sets will make their debut Sept. 13.
