6/13/2008

NEW YORK Residents in the Rochester, N.Y., area can have suspicious moles examined by dermatologists for free Saturday, June 14, according to the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle.

Wegmans will offer the service in the late morning through early afternoon at its store at 3195 Monroe Ave. in Pittsford, a town near Rochester. Blue Lizard Sunscreen is cosponsoring the service, which will be in the store’s skin-care department.

Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer, with more than 1 million new cases diagnosed each year, according to the Skin Cancer Foundation.
