What’s Hot: 2-in-1 supplement lowers cholesterol

NORTHRIDGE, Calif. —Pharmavite recently introduced its NatureMade CholestOff + Multi, a combination supplement that marries two growing segments—multivitamins and cholesterol reducers—into one product. With two tablets per day, consumers can help lower cholesterol by up to 24 percent with 800 mg of plant sterols and a complete multivitamin.

According to Nielsen Group data provided by Pharmavite, multivitamins continue to show impressive growth of 1.8 percent on a $1.3 billion base across food, drug, mass and club for the 52 weeks ended Sept. 8, while cholesterol reducers are growing by 41 percent on a $40.8 million base.
