Winn-Dixie announces four new additions to corporate staff

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. Winn-Dixie Stores, a grocery store chain of about 520 stores, has recently announced four new associates to its corporate staff.

The company has named Mark Tanis vice president of Compensation and Benefits. He formerly worked for companies such as Watson Wyatt Worldwide, and Hewitt Associates. Chris Vukich, who has a title of vice president of Pricing, previously held positions at Dell Computer and Wall-mart.

Joe McKie, who will serve as vice-president of Corporate Brands, formerly worked for several high-profile companies such as Federal Group and Daymen Worldwide. Finally, Matt Guttermuth, Winn Dixie’s new vice president of Center Store, held a position as former president and chief executive officer of Safeway.com, and has also worked for a string of top global companies.

According to the company, Tanis will be responsible for planning and applying a new compensation and befits program for the staff of 52,000. Vukic will be managing and developing pricing strategies for the company. McKie will oversee and redesign Winn-Dixie’s private label products as well as taking care of all the corporate brands initiatives, and Guttermuth will be in charge of the Center store as well as all its buying and merchandising departments.
