Zipnosis launches ZipTicket

2/9/2016

MINNEAPOLIS — Virtual health care company Zipnosis, which provides a platform for health systems to create a virtual care platform, has added a new offering to its roster. The company’s ZipTicket, a “virtual boarding pass” that give patients access to in-clinic lab tests.

“Health systems use our platform to expand access to care by leveraging their own clinicians, and with ZipTicket, we are further streamlining the process by improving the patient experience and increasing efficiencies,” Zipnosis CEO Jon Pearce said. “Unlike other out-sourced telemedicine providers, ZipTicket extends a provider’s integrated care delivery model, resulting in better medicine, better patient experience and a more sustainable economic model.”

Patients whose health system uses the Zipnosis platform go through an adaptive interview, can be triaged using a phone or video encounter, and now with ZipTicket can get a boarding pass for rapid tests for such conditions as strep throat. ZipTicket can be integrated into in-clinic workflow and lab tests, and Zipnosis’ software can integrate with a health system’s electronic records and patient portals.

“Over the past seven years, we developed the technology, trust, experience and playbook to help health care systems launch a best-in-class virtual care service in 60 days or less,” Pearce said. “We’ve been testing the ZipTicket concept for nearly two years and have used our extensive retail clinic experience to ensure it is easy for patients to use and for providers to implement.”
