Ascensia recently introduced the Contour Next One, which it says is the most accurate blood glucose monitoring system developed by Ascensia Diabetes Care to date. The system features a wireless-enabled smart meter that seamlessly connects to a smart mobile device via Bluetooth.
The meter provides immediate feedback through smartLight technology and the Contour Diabetes app collects, stores and analyses patient blood glucose results received from the meter. This latest version of the Contour Diabetes app includes the new My Patterns feature, which uses innovative algorithms to analyze blood glucose results received from the Contour Next One meter more intelligently, and delivers personalized, meaningful feedback to patients.
This feedback is designed to help patients improve diabetes self-management and maintain positive lifestyle changes, the company said.
