COLUMBIA, Md. — BSI Products on Thursday introduced Fun Wraps — elastic bandage wraps that have stylish patterns for kids and offer the support needed to help a child heal from a typical sports injury.
Fun Wraps were invented and designed by Kori Mirsberger, a graphic designer and the daughter of a doctor. When Kori was 13 years old, she broke her thumb in a dance class and received a standard, beige elastic bandage. At school the next day she decided to add some flair to her bandage by drawing all over it with a marker and ended up with a wild, leopard print bandage.
The stylish bandage wrap is offered in both kid (ages 7 years and older) and adult sizes and comes in a variety of colors and patterns. The bandage material stretches comfortably and is supple to the touch. It has a patented starter-loop with a Velcro closure making it easy to wrap and keep secure with no metal clips necessary.
Fun Wraps can be used to provide compression to ankles, wrists, knees and elbow and are great for securing cold and hot packs to the injury or sore body part, the company said. Fun Wraps are currently sold at Target.com and in stores Duane Reade, Meijer and Apple Drug.
Stores and companies have the option to purchase exclusive patterns or even custom designed Fun Wraps for something a little more unique, the company noted. Choose logos or custom images to be printed on the wraps and they will come shrink wrapped and ready for sale. Visit
