Cox Target Media focuses on OTC partnership with new hire

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Cox Target Media on Tuesday announced the new hire of Jim Hackett as sales director. Hackett will join the company to further develop its growing portfolio of over-the-counter brand partnerships, and represent CTM to the OTC pharmaceutical industry.

Hackett joins CTM with more than 25 years of industry-leading experience in marketing, sales, research and business management roles at major media organizations. Hackett spent 12 years at Parade Magazine, holding positions as SVP integrated solutions and SVP sales, marketing and research. Prior to that, Hackett was the VP advertising sales at Gannett/USAWeekend. Hackett has been a member of the Consumer Healthcare Products Association for more than a decade and has served on the board of directors.

"I'm really excited to join Cox Target Media, a company that has a rich heritage in media, as well as cutting edge technology and ideas that are shaping the industry," Hackett said. "With increased challenges in traditional channels, OTC brands are looking for new ways to reach a broad set of consumers. Cox Target Media has an innovative solution that offers massive scale through print, digital and mobile channels, but also allows advertisers to effectively target shoppers that are most important to their brands."

"Jim's wealth of experience and industry knowledge has already made him a valuable asset to the Cox Target Media family," said Michael Vivio, president of Cox Target Media. "Our focus on delivering high-quality and high-demand OTC content to consumers led us to look for an addition to the team that will play a pivotal role implementing exceptional programs. We are thrilled we found someone of Jim's caliber to help drive the business further."
