NEW YORK — To encourage smokers to quit smoking and support a good cause this September, CVS Pharmacy and GSK Consumer Healthcare's Nicorette and NicoDerm CQ are supporting Stand Up to Cancer to help fund cancer research. For every box of Nicorette or Nicoderm CQ purchased at CVS Pharmacy between Aug. 27 and Oct. 1, GSK Consumer Healthcare will donate $1, up to $100,000, to Stand Up to Cancer.
CVS Pharmacy MinuteClinic nurse practitioners also are available to share tips on how smokers can empower a smoke-free life and what they need to get there.
CVS Health has been a long-time supporter for Stand Up To Cancer, a program of the Entertainment Industry Foundation, that supports innovative cancer research that gets new therapies to patients quickly to save more lives.
Earlier this year, Stand Up To Cancer and Rally Health launched a series of video public service announcements featuring actor and comedian Anthony Anderson, singer LeAnn Rimes, actress Felicity Huffman and actor and comedian Martin Short.
