First responder Lou Ferrigno endorses StopsBleeding retail launch

SAINT PAUL, Minn. — CoAg Medical on Thursday announced its StopsBleeding coagulant, endorsed by Lou Ferrigno, will be available at Walmart beginning in March 2016.

 

"StopsBleeding changes first aid bleeding situations forever," stated Amir Ahmed, CoAg Medical chief medical officer. "Now everyday people will generously apply StopsBleeding powder to their wound and apply pressure."

 

StopsBleeding is a sterile modified amylopectin, organic powder which effectively stops bleeding for topical and trauma use including major arterial wounds. Cuts, lacerations, gun-shot wounds and even arterial bleeding can be controlled with StopsBleeding, the company stated.  

 

"StopsBleeding is for every bleeding situation - from people on blood thinners to people with gunshot wounds," Ferrigno added. "Every person needs to have it available to them everywhere and at all times. First Responders need to add this product to their trauma kits."
